Exhibition Space and Cultural Center / Thessaloniki / 2023

This project involves the design of an exhibition space dedicated to household objects brought by refugees from Eastern Thrace who settled in Agia Triada, Thessaloniki, in 1922. Our proposal moves away from static, museum-like symmetry, opting instead for an organic arrangement reminiscent of a traditional Greek home.

A flexible ‘modulo’ system was developed to adapt to diverse exhibits; the walls are clad in timber panels with perforated patterns that accommodate supports, shelves, and hanging elements. This solution allows for the collection to be rearranged as needed, offering a dynamic visual experience that evolves over time.

The study is completed by the graphic design of informative panels, where traditional motifs are integrated as an organic part of the architecture, bridging historical artifacts with modern exhibition aesthetics.
